There’s a great Kids Health article Body Basics: Spleen and Lymphatic System.
And here’s a Kids Health video - How the Body Works: The Immune System

Lots of YouTube videos this week!  The following YouTube videos are great!
Lymphatic System (this video skipped on my computer… not sure if it does for everyone else)
Lymph System part 1 (lecture, best for older students)

Let your kids try this fun Immune System game!

CC Connected subscribers can print these AWESOME resources on the human body for free (Can’t believe I just found these!!!  Wow, you’ve GOT to pin this one.)

Free Homeschool Lesson Plans, Online Resources, and Printables for a Unit about the Circulatory System

Science – The Circulatory System

YouTube Videos

Scholastic Study Jams has a video called The Circulatory System, with quiz questions and a vocabulary list to go along with it.

If you have access to Magic School Bus videos – Episode 3 “Inside Ralphie” is about the circulatory system (all 4 seasons are available on Netflix, for example)

Learn4YourLife’s Matchcard Science is a good resource for studying the circulatory system.

Make a visual of the components of blood by following My Montessori Journey’s blog post.

Little Pandas Preschool shows how a Pumping Heart Balloon Experiment was done with preschoolers.

“The Circulatory System and the Heart” is explained in Kid Port’s slideshow.

Good readers will enjoy Discovery Kids’ article on the Cardiovascular System

Here’s a free download of circulatory system notebooking pages.

Kids Health provides a fun article about Your Heart and Circulatory System (and this article is read aloud if you have younger non-readers who need to work independently – I love that!)

Ellen McHenry’s Basement Workshop provides a neat Circulation game to play.

Scroll down to find “Blood Circulation Games” at Collaborative Learning (it’s a PDF file)

There’s a free worksheet “Your Heart” at Super Teacher Worksheets  - scroll down the screen to find it (and several other good anatomy worksheets there too)

Free Homeschool Lesson Plans, Online Resources, and Printables for a Unit about the Excretory System

Science – The Excretory System

The Matchcard Science Unit Study on Human Anatomy from Learn 4 Your Life has a section that starts on page 21 (section 8) for the excretory system.  It’s really good – just put your email into the form, then it will take you to the download.  The whole unit is excellent, actually.

YouTube Videos:

It’s so cool to take a look at the intestines on the virtual body at Medtropolis.

I’m loving Homeschooling Them’s Notebooking pages.  Look at Week 7, page 8.

Sola Gratia Mom’s activities she shows about the excretory system are super.  I love the grapes idea!

The Lab of Mr. Q Classic Science website’s downloads include a section on body organs in Unit 7 that’s very helpful.

Free Homeschool Lesson Plans, Online Resources, and Printables for a Unit about the Digestive System

Science – The Digestive System  (perfect for supplementation to Cycle 3 Week 6 of Classical Conversations)

This post contains affiliate links.

This illustration of the digestive system is hilarious.  I love it!  My favorite find of the night.

Of course no kid can go without watching Schoolhouse Rock’s Body Machine.  It’s awesome.

The Digestive System Animation video on YouTube is also good.

Kids Health on YouTube has one too.  And here is their article for kids (for non-readers, there is a read-aloud option!  I love that.)

Another one here – from my childhood I think, but still good.

Can you tell I love videos?  Here’s one called Digestive System for Kids by Make Me Genius.

Biology 4 Kids has some great info for kids on the digestive system.

A good, simple manuscript-tracing worksheet can be found towards the bottom of this page (good for younger ones).

E-Learning for Kids has a great online lesson about the digestive system.

Here is a detailed digestive system worksheet.

Use random household items to lay out a model of the digestive system.

Kids get a basic overview at Fact Monster.

See amylase in action and create a stomach at The Homeschool Scientist.

This is a great activity sheet for upper elementary or older students with a higher understanding of the subject.

Finally, more advanced readers and those seeking more in-depth facts can take a look over at National Geographic’s resource.
